MicroMerits public speaking contest

Preliminary selection

• Topic for Grades 3,4 and 5
  In what ways, self discipline helps you succeed ?
• Topic for Grades 6,7 and 8
  What are the ways which you improve yourself everyday ?
• You need to record your speech in English ( with video) – 6 to 8 mins
• The recorded audio or video must be sent to info@micromerits.com ( video is optional, audio is mandatory)
• Last date to send your recording – 10-April-2022

Your speech must follow the basic structure

• Introduction
  • Introduce yourself by specifying your name and grade
  • Introduce the topic you are going to speak
• Body or content
  • Be yourself
  • Pickup key ideas related to the topic and elaborate. 
  • You must modulate your voice and talk freely or naturally around the topic
• Conclusion
  • Provide concluding statements

Final selection

• 10 shortlisted participants would be called for a live public speaking session (online)
• Each participant gets 5 mins to time for his/her speech
• The participants would be given on the fly topics by judges 
• The final selection to be done in the 1st week of May-2022

Rewards

• All shortlisted participants to get MicroMerits merit certificates
• Top 3 candidates to get the following rewards
  • First prize of 100$ scholarship and MicroMerits certificate of excellence
  • 2nd and 3rd prize of 50$ each scholarship and MicroMerits certificate of excellence
